In this months "Pastor Page" in the Parish Newsletter, Pastor Fran wrote about the fact that Easter is not a single day, but a whole season. These fifty days are filled with the promise of the resurrection. It is a time of joy in the abundant new life we have received in Christ Jesus, but it has been hard to get that without the springtime to remind us. School is closed today because of a big blizzard. We are still under more than a foot of snow. It feels more like early December than early April these days. But still we are in the midst of the season of resurrection. We are still huddled in our houses awaiting the end to this short ice age, but it still is Easter and hope for new life abounds!
